Telehealth Consent
Last updated: April 2026
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth involves the delivery of healthcare services using electronic communications. Through PepScribe, you may consult with a licensed healthcare provider via asynchronous messaging (questionnaire-based assessment and secure follow-up). This replaces an in-person office visit for the purpose of evaluating your eligibility for peptide therapy.
How It Works
You complete a health assessment with information about your goals, medical history, current medications, and allergies. A licensed healthcare provider reviews this information and determines whether peptide therapy is appropriate. The provider may request additional information or a synchronous consultation before making a prescribing decision.
Benefits and Risks
Telehealth allows convenient access to clinical evaluation without an in-person visit. However, telehealth has limitations: the provider cannot perform a physical examination, and the assessment is based on information you provide. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the provider's clinical decision.
Your Rights
- You may withdraw consent and stop using telehealth services at any time.
- You have the right to request an in-person consultation instead.
- Your health information is protected under applicable privacy laws.
- You may request copies of your telehealth records.
Provider Independence
Healthcare providers accessible through PepScribe are independently licensed professionals. PepScribe does not direct or control clinical decisions. The provider-patient relationship is between you and your assigned clinician, not between you and PepScribe.
Emergency Situations
Telehealth is not appropriate for medical emergencies. If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use PepScribe for emergency medical needs.
